Avis has introduced its new carpeting for £1.99 a month for a limited time.
The new carpet is made from a mix of recycled materials from a local carpet plant and is available in a range of colours including the pink, grey and orange shades.
“We believe that carpeting is one of the most cost-effective and environmentally sustainable forms of building material, and we have developed a range to suit different customers,” Avis said.
“It is available as a range for adults, for kids and for people with disabilities.”
The carpet is available to order at the Avis UK website, and can be ordered for the same price by post.
“The price of the carpet has been kept relatively low compared to other products available in the market,” the company said.
It comes after Avis launched its first premium carpeting at £3.99 in July, with another offering due to be launched this year.
The company’s carpeting range is made up of different colours and shades, and will be available in several different sizes and fabrics, with a variety of colours available to select customers.
Avis said it aims to offer the best quality carpeting, and the carpet will be made from recycled materials.
It is not known if the carpeting will be sold to other retailers.
It is also not known whether the carpet can be bought for a fixed price.
Avis is the latest major retailer to roll out a new carpet product.
In March, Lidl announced it would launch its own carpeting offering for its customers, including a range made from wood sourced from a nearby forestry project.
But the company is not the only major retailer that is investing in the carpet industry, with others including Ikea, Marks & Spencer and Tesco also making the carpet a premium item.
More to come.
