A lowes carpet salesman is selling carpet binding from his home for $9,500 at Walmart in Louisiana.
Walmart spokeswoman Kelly Latham said Thursday that the company has not yet sold the carpet binding that came from the house.
The salesman has purchased the carpet for $8,900, she said.
She said the carpet is made of polyester and has a high finish.
Latham said the price includes the installation, cleaning, labeling and packaging.
The carpet binding comes with a $2,500 warranty.
The home’s previous owner, a man named Larry, died in 2013, according to a 2017 Louisiana court document.
He was buried at a church in the city of Toulouse.
A Lowes spokeswoman told CBS affiliate WGNO in a statement that Lowes “is proud to be a part of this historic sale.”
The sale is not the first Lowes sale in Louisiana, Latham confirmed.
In 2017, she confirmed a Lowes purchase in Baton Rouge.
